The SSCR (SAP Software Change Registration) is a procedure which registers all manual changes to SAP sources and SAP Dictionary objects. If an ABAP developer wants to change them in an SAP system, the system will prompt for two access keys: Developer key to register a particular user as a developer. This key must be entered only once. Note that both the system layout and the default installation path for SAP Studio on the Mac OS has been changed recently. The studio is now installed on a Mac as an application you can run. Note that you must be logged into the system as an administrator in order to install the SAP software. There are two ways you can install SAP Studio on a Mac.

Once you have received your license file (a.k.a. serial file) from Nakisa* you must apply it to your VSN application. The file typically covers all applications your organisation is licensed to use (assuming you requested a license for them all) and is compatible across VSN versions using the same licensing system (older pre-Java Nakisa applications used a different license file format and are not compatible.)
The file should simply be named 'serial' - i.e. no file extension and all lower case. Mavis beacon free download for mac. If it has a file extension (e.g. '.dat'), remove it before trying to apply the file to the application, and ensure the file name is in lower case.
- Navigate to the AdminConsole of the VSN application you wish to license.
- e.g. http://OrgChartDEV:50000/OrgChart/manager.jsp
- Login using the default user ID & password (admin / admin).
- A license file upload page will be displayed.
- Locate the license file and select the option to upload it.

This should now have licensed your application. Sometimes however this process glitches. Sometimes you may already have a serial file that is expired and the upload serial file page does not appear. In these instances you can take a manual approach.

- *nix = /usr/sap/{SystemID}/{Instance}/j2ee/cluster/apps/Nakisa/{app}/servlet_jsp/{app}/root/XML/
- Remove any existing serial file.
- Copy the new serial file into the directory.
- Restart the application.
The application should now be licensed.
